Have you ever wondered what it feels like to be a ballerina/dancer? To dance inside a historic theatre? With First Position ballet classes not only will you learn all the positions of ballet and more, but you will learn first-hand what it means to be a ballerina/dancer.
Classes are taught by Estonian National Ballet dancers, Francesco Piccinin and Abigail Mattox, whose desire is to not only teach you steps, but also show you what it means to be a dancer.
The classes take place in Estonia’s National Opera House.
As you walk through the halls of this iconic building you may hear an opera on or the orchestra warming up. You won’t be able to help but want to be part of the beautiful magic that happens in that place.

Francesco Piccinin and Abigail Mattox first met at the Finnish National Ballet Jr. Company in 2015, and then later reconnected in 2018 when Francesco joined Abigail in Estonia.
Though they are both far from home, Francesco's home being in Italy and Abigail’s in Cyprus, they have both found a home here at the Estonian National Ballet. Francesco and Abigail have since become great friends and colleagues. They love dancing together, and now, teaching together.
